Simple survey poll.

Conservative doesn't mean Republican, although they are conservative, you could also be a Nazi, just as liberal doesn't mean Democrat, you could also be an anarchist and still be a liberal.

It's just to get bearings on the composition of this forum, you don't have to say what you picked, but you're more than welcome to if you wish.

I think the best political stance is neutrality. That way you don't have prior intensions before passing judgement. There is far too much of that going on these days.

The political spectrum is not linear, but more shaped like a plus sign

......Libertarian
Liberal + Conservative
.....Authoritarian

I am squarely in the center, with a slight libertarian lean.

Here is a pretty good test to check your political compass:

These tests tend to be biased by the people who develop them, but this one is pretty impartial. Try it!

Very good test "hris." lol I am slightly to the Authoritarian left which is about where I thought I'd be. If you look at the chart ib the last page with the international chart, I'm below Pope Benedict XVI.

According to Dictionary.com, Republicans are more liberal then Democrats.

The definition is "favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs."

Conservative means to keep things the way they are and resistant to change.

Now look at the political issues:
Republicans want to change Abortion Laws... Democrats want them to remain the way they are.
Republicans want to change the Constitution for Marriage Laws.. Democrats want the constitution to remain the way it is.
Republicans want to change the world through War.. Democrats would like to keep our previous strategies of diplomacy.

Ahh semantics.. can make anything mean anything.

Yea mine wasn't on your United States political voting, just on where you think you stand.

I was:

Economic Left/Right: -3.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46

According to the test. So Im Libertarian/Communist .... interesting. I like both Ideas, but Im also not far from the middle.
