I have made a website for historical maps.

Instead of storing maps, it stores information about cities and kingdoms/countries and then generates the maps from that.

http://www.whemi.org/

It seems to me that it would be more general-purpose than most sites with maps since it could generate a map from any area / any year.

Currently there is not a lot of data in it but the data is not hard to enter. I just need people who know history to go in and try it.

Any ideas?

I'm currently on Spring Break so I will go in sometime in the next couple of days to try it out. This could be a valuable tool...not just for teachers, but historians. Thanks for sharing :)
