how long should sex offenders have to be registered on thos websites? I read an article that said your name and picture and address is kept on the internet websites for like 30 years, but if you violate probation or do anything then it is on there for life.

Do you think it is harsh to label people like that? Is it an invasion of privacy?

ya I think they should have their names, addresses, pictures and everything else posted on the internet sex offender web site. They don't need to have a sign in their yard... but I think people with children ought to have the right to know who lives next door and who their neighbors are

I think if you're going to have a criminal database online, then they need to put all criminals on it, not just sex offenders. Murderers and felony theifs should be put on there too. Wouldn't you want to know if you were living nextdoor to someone who held up a liquor store and robbed 10 houses but only got 10 years in jail?
