Would you join World War 3?

As I, with each day grow closer to becoming 18, I always think about joining the military. And the world isn't exactly perfect, I mean with North Korea, Iran, Iraq, and all the other unstable countries. I personally feel World War 3 will be in my lifetime and maybe sooner than we all think.

I was curious to know if you guys would join the military if we did have World War 3?

I would. Theres no question about it. As I said, I'm already thinking about joining now, but a world war is a bit different. But I still would. I would find honor in helping protect my country.

I would join, but I would more than likely be turned down. I have a bad knee, and have been anemic since the day I was born so I don't believe that I would be much help.

I'd be one of the first in line. I have horrible luck so I'm fairly positive I wouldn't be coming home but at least that's one bullet that wouldn't take out somebody worth something. HAHA!! Just call me the "Human shield division"

No. In the case of a draft, I'd follow the path of the real heroes of the Vietnam era and head to Canada.

If there is a draft and you don't want to fight.. there is another option other then running away.
Learn an instrument and join the band. I can guarantee the tuba player will not be seeing any action.

As for what I would do... If it happened tomorrow I probably wouldn't join. If drafted though I would serve. With my education, I'd most likely not be on the front lines and be doing something with communications.

I would just see if I'm drafted and If I am, I guess I would have to do it.

I would not volunteer to join the military unless my personal life was affected by the war... like a terrorist bombed and killed my family. If drafted however, I would serve and fight for my country.

And I agree with ritocal.. I have a formal education and work in communications... so I would not see myself on the frontline but probably in one of those by computer stations monitoring radars or something.

If I did have to fight, I do think I would make a great fighter. I can shoot a rifle and love the outdoors. I would also ask to serve under one of my friends who graduated from West Point.
