This book clarifies how the philosophies and other knowledges of ancient Greece were originally Egyptian and not Greek: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Stolen-Legacy-Greek-Philosophy-Egyptian/dp/0865433623"]Amazon.com: Stolen Legacy: Greek Philosophy is Stolen Egyptian Philosophy (9780865433625): George G. " "1. The Teachings of the Egyptian Mysteries Reached Other Lands Many Centuries Before It Reached Athens..."

This is correct. Many of these writers we call Greeks were located in to-day Turkey.

Must agree with Cor & Barlier: why should we be chauvinists by proxy?

Whenever we attribute any let say scientific or philosophic contribution to any culture, it simply means that such was the first time it was attested by our available sources; we are more often than not simply unable to discard a previous knowledge by older cultures.

Well the book is printed by The African World Press and Dr. James is a pretty well known afro-centrist writer, so the slant to the book should be obvious.

Didn't know that.

Maybe the Greeks didn't give the Egyptians their credit, so it's stolen.
When you tell a story or a joke, do you always give the name of who made it in the first place ? May I suggest you come with an example where a greek had declared an idea as being his own when in fact it was from an Egyptian. It remind to be demonstrated that every Egyptians ideas originated in Egypt.

May I suggest you re-read what I wrote? I began with the word "Maybe."

Plus, re-read the titled, it has a question mark, so I'm not stating anything, I'm asking a question.

Pythogrean theorem is believed to be originated in Mesopotamia, not Greece. But oh well, we're talking about Egypt and Greece here.
