Hint; fallaciously reversing the syllogism is not going to help your case.

Your whole case rests in the (so far utterly absurd) pretension that Alkibiades had been condemned in advance; son far, that is just a bare assertion, without any single evidence of any kind; period.

Must we just blindly trust you in an immense act of faith?

So you really think reversing my grammar is enough? This is nothing short of hilarious.

Your absolute absence of any evidence and your systematic deflection of even the most elementary logic here is eloquent enough.

Why I am the only one who has to present evidence, while you get to make statements without any backing whatsoever. You present evidence for you statements, and then I will.

If you really may have missed all the evidence on the systematic criminal treacherous actions of Alkibiades and the dire consequences for his brother-in-arms and their families that have been repeated ad nauseam all along this and related threads, you really really really ought to read them again with some care.

If you really can't grasp the concept of burden of proof, I'm sorry; you ought to go back to the basics [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophic_burden_of_proof"]Philosophic burden of proof - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]; period.

And frankly, why this disgusting scoundrel may compel you for such a blind paranoid defense is beyond my comprehension... and well beyond my time.

Have a nice day.

Alas, yet another heated dispute between sylla and me.:(I propose,in order for this not to happen again(or at least diminish chances for that)not to discuss Alcibiades again.Everything else is free terain.I don't want us to always argue. What say you sylla?:)

I was never an Athens fanboy! :p I am a localist! Besides I was born and raised in the heart of Macedonia. Thessaloniki is close to Pella and Vergina!
:D:)
I myself always liked Macedonia more than either Athens or Sparta. But that doesn't stop me from admiring some of them(Themistocles,Socrates,Euripides,Alcibiades,Brasidas,Agesilaus etc).:)

Aristophanes is my favourite Athenian then. His sense of humour, comedy, irony and sarcasm was unique and all-time classic!

From Makedonia, you can always choose one of the Basileis, either Perdikkas (II), or Arxelaos (I), or even the Thracian Sitalkes.

It seems that the family of Thoukydides Olorous Halimousios also came from Thracia; that would be my personal favorite. If this war is remembered at all, that is mostly due to this historian.

That said, Aristophanes Philippou Kydathenaieus was an excellent option for the time too.
