Know of any Quadriplegic Israeli leaders?

Great Arab leaders are not necessarily viewed as great by pro Israel folks, but there can be mutual respect just as their was between individuals of competing European powers through history.

There had actually been a time when, on account of his quietism, the ideological challenge he posed to militant secular nationalism, and his opposition to the armed struggle espoused by the Palestine Liberation Organisation, the Israelis looked benevolently on Yassin and his works

....

Educated as a religious teacher in Cairo, where he joined the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood, Yassin preached in Gaza’s mosques for two decades that Palestinians had no hope of reclaiming land lost to Israel or establishing their own state until they adhered strictly to the precepts of Islam. Today, that fundamentalist call wins respect even among secularists.

In Israel there are monuments to Israeli figures that are considered as terrorists by those outside of Israel. So it’s a similar situation here. So btw the word terrorist is politically loaded and it could be used to dehumanize people. Frankly there’s no need for it. In Warfare things can get violent.

With Yassin you have the real deal. And brother let me explain myself here. Other leaders of Hamas live opulent lifestyles lavish lifestyle they are millionaires. On the other hand Yassin lived among the poor he grew up in a refugee camp in Gaza dreaming one day of a better life. After reaching fame later in life Yassin could have lived in a mansion but he chose a 3 bedroom apartment. He was a champion of the working class. This heroic figure could not move his arms or legs, he was ridiculed at times.... but he dared to grace the world with his presence to show that quadriplegics can rise to the top positions in society. Yassin follow the Islamic examples of societal justice, of helping the poor and standing up for what is right. Every people including the Jewish people and Muslim people have the right in our world to fight for their freedom my friend. Yassins legacy prevails over his critics. Because even Jesus had his enemies and does to this day. And Like Jesus Yassin gave his life for his people, for the cause of freedom and dignity. Yassin was utterly fearless like Jesus. Yassin may have been a religious radical, well so were Jesus and Muhammad. Reports show Yassin also believed in religious plurality. Yassins life story tells those with physical limitations that they can make change for the better.

That Yassin was accepted by Palestinians shows the humane beauty of the Palestinian people. Frankly quadriplegic leaders are almost unheard of all around the world. One may not agree with Palestinian independence but its only human to find the bright side of a man like Ahmed Yassin.
The Israelis in the 1980s did intialy support Islamic fundementalists because they were more concerned with spiritual matters vs terrorism against Israel. Basically a classic divide and conquer strategy. When that policy litteraly blew up in Israels face Israel had a new enemy on its hands. Not understanding the argument that a quadriplegic has more rights then others to murder Israeli civilians and not face the consequences.
Yassin was a terrorist who believed in murdering civilians and yes so was Begin during the Mandate period. Yassin never led a nation he led a terrorist orginization and yes it's ok to call a terrorist a terrorist.
I don't have a problem with an independent Palestian nation but that's post 2000.

A great man is inclusive of those whom help to up life disabled people. Its clear that disables folks all around the world looked up to Yassin. Like the man or not the Arab Ahmed Yassin had a profound impact on our world,

KHARTOUM, Sudan, Mar 28, 2004 (AP) — About 300 physically disabled Sudanese, rolling on wheelchairs or walking with crutches, marched five city blocks Sunday in a demonstration against Israel’s assassination of Palestinian leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin.

.....

Various Sudanese organizations for the blind, deaf and physically disabled organized the march, which began in the city center and ended at the U.N. building.

Not sure if the Israelis really were negatively impacted by the above demonstration.

Definitely not Saddam or Arafat.

I think King Faisal of Saudi Arabia was the GOAT Arab leader of the 20th century.
How so. In the Twentieth Century Saudi Arabia was involved in just two wars the First Arab Israeli War where the Saudis suffered maybe a handful of casualties but no damage to Saudi Arabia and the First Gulf War which was a bit more serious but little long term damage to Saudi Arabia. Living standards 8n Saudi Arabia by 2000 should be much higher then they were in 1920.

Nasser did a lot of good for Egypt - universal education, growing the middle class, land reform. Average life expectancy during his rule increased from 36 to 51 years of age.
Egypt’s Vietnam
Here's a link that Nasser actually did state to the US Ambassador to Egypt that Yemen was Egypt's Vietnam.

So the point is that Israel also kills children, the Israeli military has killed civilians. So the word terrorist is politically loaded .... the IDF can also be called terrorists if we go by the same line of reasoning that Zionists used for Palestinian resistance . One day though this type of definition “terrorist” will perhaps be substitute for a different word because it doesn’t really have a place in history.

Btw it’s the Israeli authorities who are providing their opinion that Yassin was a terrorist. It’s their word not everyone will agree with them

Feel that you are downplaying the disability of Yassin.... could anyone here show a quadriplegic Israeli leader? This type of thing speaks volumes and it matters that Palestinian society would accept a quadriplegic leader. It means something that a quadriplegic would rise to the top of Palestinian society and provide so much hope and dignity to people with disabilities that they can do anything they want in life.

How digital technology is transforming Dubai
In 1999 the leaders of the UAE made a decision that an Arab country would absolutely be the world's leader in high technology and smart urban government. Obviously it's a journey and there were bumps in the road but the UAE put itself on a path like no other Arab nation.

Shooting from the hip, I’d say King Hussein of Jordan comes the closest to being, “great.” My knowledge of him is very limited, but he seemed to be trying to do the best he could with what he had, which meant that he inadvertently always pissed off some faction in his country or some neighboring country. His reign seemed to be something of a juggling act. His reign also seemed mostly benign compared to the other Arab strongmen who were his contemporaries.

I've had a secret crush on his daughter Princess Ayesha since the 1980s. I hear she's living in the US now.

Can you provide some sources for this. It seems interesting.

This is part one of a documentary on a Rhodesian African Rifles Fire Force. Fire Force is a concept developed from the US Special Forces " Mike Force" during the Vietnam War . The Mike Force would respond with elite Civilian Irregular Defense Group fighters by helicopters to respond to attacks against Special Forces Camps plus air support from the South Vietnamese Air Force or USAF.
Fire Force used the French made Alouette MkIII which was in limited supply due to the arms embargo as well has C-47 aircraft to drop of parachute trained soldiers as close as possible to the guerrillas. The Fire Force could call on the Rhodesian Air Force which flew American made 0V-10 - Broncos and the US made Cessna Lynx as well as British made Hunter and Canberra bombers. Also back up forces in trucks and or mine protected vehicles would arrive as soon as possible. In insurgency warfare speed is every thing. If there's a hot contact the insurgents must be met with 8verwhelming fire and man power.

Well that may be true but we can't discuss post 2000 events. Gaddafi was not on President Reagan's happy birthday card list.

There’s always two sides to the story though. Palestinian leader ship including in the Gaza Strip had a difficult decision of figuring out what foreign actors to work with or who not to work with.
Well it just Hamas that rules in the Gaza Strip and they choose who they chose I am sure it worked out great.
